Missourians among 4 people dead after Iowa crash

TAMA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say four people died when a semitrailer truck smashed into their car in eastern Iowa.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (http://bit.ly/1N9BtCF) the crash happened Friday evening where Highways 21 and 30 meet near Tama, Iowa.

The Iowa State Patrol says an eastbound semitrailer truck struck the side of a southbound Chevrolet Impala just before 5 p.m.

All four victims were in the car. Authorities say 68-year-old William Willis and 65-year-old Linda Faye Willis of San Antonio, Texas, and 89-year-old George Eggers and 88-year-old Delorise Smith Eggers of Memphis, Missouri, died in the crash.

The truck driver was not hurt seriously.

The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the crash.
