Stone Hill wins 48 awards at Missouri wine competition

Stone Hill Winery in Hermann had another successful competition bringing home seven out of 12 Best of Class Awards at the 2015 Missouri Wine Competition. This marks the third year in a row for the winery to claim top awards for its wines.

The seven Best of Class Stone Hill wines included: Sparkling: Brut Rosé, Sweet White: 2013 Vignoles, Dry Red: 2012 Chambourcin, Semi-Dry Red: 2013 Steinberg Red, Rosé: Dry Rosé, Dessert/Fortified: Cream Sherry and Late Harvest/Icewine: 2013 Vidal Ice Wine.

Stone Hill Winery captured a total of 48 awards, including 13 gold, 17 silver and 11 bronze.

The Missouri Wine Competition is a premier competition designed to recognize and promote quality wines made in the state. The awards given are determined by a panel of nine judges from across the U.S and one industry judge. During the course of the two-day competition the judges tasted 270 wines.
