Prep Baseball: St. Elizabeth 6, Eugene 5

EUGENE - The St. Elizabeth Hornets improved to 3-12 by beating the Eugene Eagles 6-5 on Thursday.

Braydon Holtmeyer got the win for the Hornets, working the first 52/3 innings. He allowed five runs (three earned) on 10 hits while striking out three. Alex Goeller pitched the final 11/3 innings. He did not allow a run while giving up two hits.

Tanner Wilde-Prenger had one hit and two RBI for the winners, while Wes Huhman had a pair of hits.

St. Elizabeth will play Tuesday at New Bloomfield.
