Boys Golf: Jays, Helias in quad

COLUMBIA - The Jefferson City High School and Helias golf teams finished second and third, respectively, in a quad at Old Hawthorne Country Club on Wednesday.

Rock Bridge was the overall winner with a combined score of 305. Jefferson City finished at 323 to take second, while Helias carded a 345 and Hickman shot a 350.

Nathan Erickson led the Jays with a score of 75. Gabe Trowbridge had an 80, Andrew Hansen an 82, Brett Trobridge an 86 and Jimmy Spath an 87.

Helias was led by Jack Rundle's 85. Curtis Campbell totaled a 92, Matt Branch a 93, Cole Higgins a 95 and Caleb Albertson a 106.

Rock Bridge's Jack Knoesel and Matt Echelmeier totaled 72s to pace the field.

Jefferson City and Helias each begin district tournament play Monday.
