Ashland community planning meeting set

The city of Ashland is holding a public meeting at 7 p.m. May 12 in the Southern Boone Senior Center, 406 Douglas Drive.

The meeting is the third installment of the community planning workshops conducted jointly by the Board of Aldermen and the Planning and Zoning Commission and will focus on gathering public comments concerning the first draft of the updated traffic plan within the city's master plan.

The traffic plan update, funded by the Ashland Board of Aldermen, is being conducted by the Mid-Missouri Regional Planning Commission, city staff and a committee of residents and members of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The draft is scheduled to become available to the public on Friday. An email address will be available to collect comments and residents are also welcome to submit comments to Ashland City Hall. Comments will be taken through the month of May.
