Jefferson City's Madison Street skyline is changing slightly, as Central Dairy adds a new building expansion.

Located at 610 Madison St., Central Dairy is adding a two-story building addition onto an existing deck to expand its cooler space on the building's east side, facing Madison Street.

"We added six people in the last year and a lot of volume," said Central Dairy General Manager Chris Hackman. "We've just run out of cooler space. We've grown beyond what we can hold and needed more room for storage."

The expansion's cost was estimated at $400,000, according to the Jefferson City building permit issued in March.
