SEDALIA, Mo. - The Helias boys tennis team competed in the Smith-Cotton Tournament on Friday and each Crusader player lost two matches and won one.
T.J. Hagenhoff lost his first set to Marshall 8-4, defeated Clinton 6-0 and lost to Jefferson City 3-6. Ryan Pollock lost to Knob Knoster 3-8, defeated Clinton 7-6 and fell to Smith-Cotton 4-6.
Klint Braun and Tristan Grawe lost 1-8 to Marshall in doubles play, defeated Smith-Cotton 8-3 and lost to Lee's Summit 1-6. Dylan Grawe and Dalton Buschjost won 8-4 against Clinton, lost to Marshall 8-0 and fell to Lee's Summit North 4-6.
Helias (4-4 in dual play) plays today in the Hannibal Tournament.
