2 JC teens hurt in Friday afternoon wreck

Two Jefferson City teens were treated Friday afternoon, after they were hurt in a one-car accident in Callaway County, just east of Jefferson City.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said Sydney Nevins, 17, Jefferson City, was driving east on Callaway County Road 4038 when her 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier went off the right side of the road and overturned.

Nevins and her passenger, Hannah R. Means, 17, Jefferson City, both were wearing seatbelts and received minor injuries.

Means was treated and released from St. Mary's Hospital.

The patrol said Nevins was taken to Capital Region Medical Center, which said it had no information it could release.

The accident happened at 12:25 p.m. Friday, about 2.5 miles east of Hibernia Road.

• A Tipton man was treated for moderate injuries after a one-vehicle crash Thursday night in Pulaski County.

Patrol reports show Reuben Crawford, 25, was on Missouri 133, four miles west of Dixon, around 9:20 p.m.

He failed to negotiate a curve and went off the left side of the road, striking a tree.

Crawford was wearing a seat belt.
