Baseball: Eugene 7, New Bloomfield 6

NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. - Eugene scored five runs in the final two innings to erase a four-run deficit and defeat New Bloomfield 7-6 on Tuesday.

Blake Rains led the Eagles at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a two extra base hits, two RBI and a run. Nolan Wunderlich had two hits - including a triple - as well as two runs and two RBI, and Corey Love also scored two runs. Travis Rush had two hits as well.

Mason Kirkweg started the game and threw six innings, allowing six earned runs on nine hits, two walks and a homer. Wunderlich threw a scoreless inning of relief, allowing one hit and striking out one.

New Bloomfield won the JV game 10-0.

Eugene (7-5) hosts Jamestown today at 5:30 p.m.
