Miller Co. woman killed in early morning crash

A Miller County woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning in Maries County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show Saryn Milam, 19, Brumley, was on Missouri 42 at the Miller County line around 1:50 a.m. when she went off the right side of the road and struck a tree before the vehicle caught fire.

Milam, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

• A Meta woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 1:20 p.m. Monday on Missouri 133 north of Route P in Osage County.

According to the patrol report, a 2003 Dodge Caravan, driven northbound by Renee Starr-Bear, 60, Meta, pulled into the path of a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven southbound by Logan J. Schanzmeyer, 18, St. Elizabeth.

Starr-Bear was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
