Rock Bridge, Sullivan take titles at Helias Golf Invitational

NEW BLOOMFIELD - The Rock Bridge Bruins and the Sullivan Eagles claimed team titles Monday in the Helias Invitational at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club.

Rock Bridge, led with a 74 by medalist Jack Knoesel, captured the large-school division with a 315 (27 over par). Hannibal was second with a 339, while Jefferson City finished third with a 341.

Gabe Trowbridge led the Jays with an 82. Nathan Erickson and Andrew Hansen both added 86s, while Jimmy Spath totaled an 87.

Helias finished eighth in the 10-team division with a 363. Cole Higgins paced the Crusaders with an 86, while Dalton Roark added an 89. Jack Rundle carded a 90, while Nick Alexander finished with a 98.

Camdenton, led by Braden DeMark's 80, tied with Warrensburg for fifth with a 348.

Sullivan totaled a 327 to win the small-school division.

Blair Oaks was second with a 348. Kory Franks led the Falcons with a 76, while Tanner Elder had a 79. Kyle Backes had a 96 for Blair Oaks, while Jake VanRonzelen finished with a 97.

Southern Boone finished third as a team with a 363. Walker Kesterson had a 79 to pace the Eagles. Jakob Warren and Tanner Sherman both shot 94 for Southern Boone, while Brayden Watts had a 96.

New Bloomfield was sixth with a 405. Tyler Grace had a 96 to lead the Wildcats, with Gannon Withers adding a 99. Eidge Martin had a 100, while Grant Nichols totaled a 110.

Linn was ninth with a 443. Cade Pinkerton finished with a 97 for the Wildcats. Nick Robinson had a 113, while Brenden Bischoff totaled a 116 and Kyle Mantle a 117.

Russellville was 10th with a 455. Coy Bond led the Indians with a 90. Austin Garrison had a 113, with Cody Willingham finished with a 124 and David Sheldon had a 128.
