Two women were injured in a two-car accident at 2:30 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 54 at Cassidy Road in Cole County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash report, a 2006 Buick Lacrosse, driven eastbound by Patricia A. Vanderpool, 74, of Jefferson City, failed to yield to a 1998 Buick Century, driven westbound by Gail A. Oliver, 56, of Eldon, and was struck on the driver's side by Oliver's vehicle.
Vanderpool, who was wearing a seat belt, and Oliver, who was not wearing a seat belt, were taken to SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital.
