Your Opinion: Christian faith under attack

Dear Editor:

It's interesting that the movie "Killing Jesus" was such a hit and Easter being one of our most popular holidays next to Christmas that the parallels in Jesus' time and now for the citizenry with regards to the fear of government and the attempts to corrupt and/or destroy the Christian faith are growing with leaps and bounds.

The recent dust up over the Indiana and Arkansas freedom of religion bills is just the latest and most obvious attempt by our nation's power brokers to make sure they retain control over us citizens.

Why do we allow these politicians to bow to CEO's, the media and in this case the gay organizations, who all combined don't come close to number of hard-working, law-abiding Christians in America whose only wish is to live their lives in accordance with their religious beliefs and other freedoms as guaranteed by our Constitution?

The way I look at Govs. Hutchinson and Pence bowing to the demands of a few is a lot like Pontius Pilate washing his hands of his responsibility. What would our lives and the cultures(s) of the world be like had Pilate not taken the politically expedient way out?
