6-vehicle wreck injures 4 people

Four people were hurt in a six-vehicle accident Monday afternoon in Jefferson City.

Police reports show the accident occurred around 4:15 p.m. in the 400 block of U.S. 50/63 East.

The investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Stacia Mills, 54, Jefferson City, was going west in the driving lane, approaching Monroe Street. She was stopped in traffic because of a red light.

A vehicle driven by Antonio Rachatellelle, 37, Columbia, was stopped directly behind Mills.

A vehicle driven by Kenneth Prenger, 61, Jefferson City, was stopped directly behind Rachatellelle.

A vehicle driven by Hannah Silvey, 25, Jefferson City, was stopped directly behind Prenger.

A vehicle driven by Jonathan Wilson, 25, Jefferson City, was slowing down behind Silvey's vehicle when it was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Theresa Libbert, 43, Fulton.

Libbert's vehicle didn't stop causing each vehicle in front to strike one another.

Wilson, Prenger and Silvey, along with a passenger in Silvey's vehicle, Grace Yarnell, 15, Jefferson City, all had minor injuries.

All individuals were wearing their seat belts.

The driving lane in the area was shut down for about 45 minutes while crews cleared the wreck.
