Missouri KidsFirst is inviting the public to attend an event at noon April 14 at the state Capitol.
The organization will kick off the Missouri Children's Trust Fund Prevention Conference with the Sixth Annual Pinwheels for Prevention, Community Pinwheel Garden.
The "Standing with Children Award" will be presented to Rep. Bill Lant and Sen. Bob Dixon. Lincoln University's Groove Dynasty Drum Line will be there to celebrate the hope, health and happiness pinwheels represent for children.
Pinwheels for Prevention is a public awareness campaign that prioritizes prevention efforts, with the goal of making sure child abuse and neglect never occur.
