Three charged in MUSTANG drug busts

Three people have been charged in connection with drug busts that occurred Thursday at various locations around Jefferson City.

• Patricia King, 49, 213 Belair Drive, is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

When members of the MUSTANG Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at King's residence they found 14 grams of meth hidden under a cushion in a living room couch.

A safe was also found, and inside was a bag containing 28 grams of meth along with another bag with 3 grams of meth.

Packaging materials were also found in the living room area.

King's residence was the base for meth sales, according to authorities and it's located next door to an in-home daycare.

• Nathan Ward, 37, of 2610 Bald Hill Road, and Jodi Heard, 33, of 1324 East Miller St., are each charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

MUSTANG officers executed a narcotics and stolen property search warrant at 625 Norris Drive, where Ward and Heard were taken into custody.

During a search of that residence, officers found a bag containing 2.25 grams of meth and packaging materials.

In Heard's purse, officers found $496 in cash.

Ward was found to be in possession of $3,449 in cash and had another $2,985 in a dresser drawer.

In Ward's vehicle, officers found 42 grams of meth, a bag containing marijuana and a digital scale.

Ward has been on parole for three felony offenses.

Heard, an admitted drug user, is known to sell narcotics and has been on probation for prior offenses.
