BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (AP) - Jeff Larentowicz scored the go-ahead goal in the 68th minute on a free kick and the Chicago Fire beat 10-man Toronto FC 3-2 on Saturday.
Toronto FC's Warren Creavalle was sent off in the 67th minute after receiving a yellow card for rough challenge of David Accam. Larentowicz curled the ensuing free kick around the wall and inside the far post.
Joevin Jones gave Chicago (2-3-0) an early 1-0 lead in the 14th minute. Jones stole the ball from the Toronto defense, fed Shaun Maloney for a give-and-go and left-footed it into the far corner. Toronto evened the match six minutes later when Sebastian Giovinco rolled a ball through the legs of a defender and it trickled past goalkeeper Jon Busch.
Benoit Cheyrou put Toronto (1-3-0) ahead 2-1 in the 54th minute. Giovinco ran down a long ball, chipped a back pass to the penalty spot and Cheyrou finished it. Chicago's Shaun Malone squared the game two minutes later with a shot through traffic.
SOUNDERS 1, DYNAMO 0
SEATTLE (AP) - Obafemi Martins scored his third goal of the season, spinning around a defender to beat Houston goalkeeper Tyler Deric, and the Seattle Sounders beat the Dynamo despite playing the final 35 minutes with just 10 men.
Martins' goal came in the 39th minute as Seattle quickly countered off a Houston turnover. Martins took a pass from Clint Dempsey, did a 360-degree spin around Houston defender Jermaine Taylor and put enough power on the shot that Deric's deflection couldn't keep it out of the net.
Seattle went down a man in the 56th minute when Gonzalo Pineda was given a red card after catching Ricardo Clark in the stomach with his left foot. Even with the man advantage, Houston could not get any good chances against Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei.
REVOLUTION 2, RAPIDS 0
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) - Juan Agudelo and Lee Nguyen scored and New England extended Colorado's winless streak to 18 matches.
Colorado has not won since beating Chivas USA on June 25, 2014, matching the MLS record set by Real Salt Lake in 2005-06. The Rapids have not scored in 600 minutes, dating to October 11, 2014.
Agudelo controlled a long diagonal cross with an outstretched left foot and quickly flicked in a goal with his right foot in the 18th minute to give New England (2-2-1) a 1-0 lead. Nguyen sent goalkeeper Clint Irwin diving the wrong way for a penalty kick goal in the 54th minute. The PK was awarded after Charlie Davies was pulled down in the penalty area by Jared Watts.
It was the Revolution's first win in Colorado since 2002 after six losses and five draws.
Colorado (0-1-3) coach Pablo Mastroeni was sent off in the 61st minute after arguing a decision that waved off a penalty kick opportunity for an offsides flag.
WHITECAPS 2, GALAXY 0
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) - Kekuta Manneh and Octavio Rivero scored second-half goals.
Manneh scored in the 56th minute and forward Rivero, in the 66th. A sellout crowd at B.C. Place Stadium watched Vancouver win four consecutive games for the first time since joining Major League Soccer in 2011.
It was just the second time the Whitecaps had beaten the Galaxy in MLS.
Vancouver improved its Western Conference record to 4-1-0 for 12 points.
The defending MLS champion Galaxy suffered their second-consecutive loss and saw their record drop to 1-2-2 for five points. Dating to last season, LA is winless in nine road games (0-5-4).
TIMBERS 3, FC DALLAS 1
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Maximiliano Urruti scored the winning goal for the Portland Timbers.
The win is the first of the season for Portland (1-1-3), while Dallas (3-1-1) lost its first.
On a night celebrating him, with fans given cutouts of his head on a stick, Nat Borchers opened well with his new team in the 23rd minute.
Off a corner kick, the defender found himself unguarded six yards from goal and drove a header into the ground and past Dallas goalkeeper Chris Seitz.
The visitors responded 7 minutes later, off a corner kick of their own. Atiba Harris rose highest to head the ball into the path of a running Tesho Akindele whose momentum knocked to ball into the net to tie the game.
The Timbers retook the lead in the 62nd minute on Urruti's goal.
Diego Chara put the game out of reach with four minutes remaining.
