BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - The Jefferson City Lady Jays took team honors while the Jays finished fourth Thursday at the Rusty Hodge Track and Field Invitational.
The Lady Jays, led by a pair of wins in field events, finished with 105 team points. Blue Springs South was second at 101, while Blue Springs took third in the 15-team event with 100.
Nicole Martin and Destinee Milton finished 1-2 in the high jump for the Lady Jays, while Alexis Robertson won the shot put title.
On the boys side, Jefferson City finished with 51 points. Blue Springs was first with 148, followed by Lee's Summit North at 75 and Park Hill at 71. There were 15 teams competing.
Jefferson City was led by third-place finishes by Jackson Schwartz in the 1,600-meter run and Saxon Teubner in the 3,200-meter run.
