Area road projects go to APAC

APAC-Missouri Inc. was awarded several contracts to do road projects in Mid-Missouri during Wednesday's Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission meeting.

The company was awarded a project to add shoulders and overlay for nearly 20 miles of Missouri 87 between U.S. 50 in Moniteau County and U.S. 54 in Miller County. The contract also calls for APAC to overlay Route P between Missouri 87 and Main Street in Olean.

APAC submitted the lowest bid of $2,910,238 for this work.

The commission also awarded APAC resurfacing projects on Missouri 179, Route M and Route Y.

A project to resurface nearly 13 miles of 179 in Cooper and Moniteau counties and replace culvert pipes was awarded to APAC after they submitted the low bid of $1,112,003.

APAC was also awarded a contract for resurfacing 12.5 miles of Route Y between Missouri 52 in Miller County and Hickory Road in Morgan County after submitting the lowest bid of $1,748,294.

Another contract awarded Wednesday was for a project to resurface 19 miles of Route M between Missouri 135 in Morgan County and U.S. 50 in Pettis County to Chester Construction Company after they submitted the lowest bid of $2,040,126.

Work on each project will take place during the summer. Occasional temporary lane and entrance closures are possible in the work areas.
