NEW BLOOMFIELD - Brooke Thompson of Jefferson City finished second Monday in the Class 2 District 4 Golf Tournament held at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club.
Thompson shot a 7-over 79 in the tournament. Tess McCorkle of Francis Howell took medalist honors with an even-par 72.
Jefferson City was fourth in the team standings with a 390. Rock Bridge was first with a 363, with Francis Howell taking second with a 383.
Blair Michael shot a 94 for Jefferson City to finish among the top 15 individuals not on sectional qualifying teams. Thompson and Michael will advance to next week's sectional tournament to be played at Woods Fort Golf Course in Troy.
Ellie Severance shot a 102 for the Lady Jays, with Claire Shipley carding a 115.
