Blair Oaks softball splits

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Blair Oaks lost a game and won a game in the Hickman Tournament on Friday, both in eight innings. The Lady Falcons fell to Parkway South, 6-5, and defeated Fort Zumwalt South, 10-9.

Payton Staggs was the losing pitcher against Parkway South. She allowed eight hits and six walks and struck out three. Lauren Viessman had two hits, Jolie Duffner had a hit and two RBI, and Ashley Forck had a hit and an RBI. Karlie Reinkemeyer also had a hit.

Megan Mitchem was the winning pitcher against Fort Zumwalt South. She threw the seventh and eighth innings and struck out three, allowing no hits or runs.

The Lady Falcons tallied 14 hits. Duffner had four hits, two doubles and four RBI. Natalie Mudd had three hits and three RBI, Viessman had two hits and two runs Taylor Markway had two hits. Forck had the game-winning sacrifice fly, along with two hits and three total RBI.

Blair Oaks (15-4) plays Pattonville in the tournament at 9 a.m.
