Two injured in three-car wreck

Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident at 3:20 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 63 at Country Road 521 in Osage County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, a 2002 Toyota Camry, driven southbound by Rebecca K. Wilde, 49, Freeburg, stopped in traffic. A 2000 Honda Accord, driven southbound by Anthony W. Swarthout, 17, Freeburg, swerved to avoid the Wilde vehicle. A 1999 Mazda 626, driven southbound by Grant W. Stuecken, 16, Freeburg, then struck the Swarthout vehicle and the Wilde vehicle.

Wilde was taken to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. A passenger in the Stuecken vehicle, Brady C. Weavers, 16, Vienna, was taken to St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt.
