Local woman put on probation for growing pot

A Jefferson City woman was placed on five years supervised probation after pleading guilty to growing marijuana in her home in February 2013.

Angela Parker, 40, of 809 Crestmere Court, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

A police probable cause statement shows officers found four marijuana plants being cultivated inside Parker's bedroom.

The marijuana was located inside an enclosed greenhouse equipped with operational electric ventilation fans that were connected to aluminum exhaust ducts, lighting that supplied heat and a floor fan to circulate the heat.
