JC man gets probation after drug OD

A Jefferson City man has been placed on five years supervised probation after he pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana which he had used and overdosed on.

Darrin Woods, 25, was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the incident that occurred in March.

According to Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statements, officers went to Woods' residence, 2126 Louis Circle, and found three containers with marijuana.

Digital scales and other drug paraphernalia were also seized.

They also learned that Woods had been taken to Capital Region Medical Center for treatment for his overdose.
