Anderson, Tigers to make one stop at Hearnes Center this season

COLUMBIA - Kim Anderson's return to the Hearnes Center is one of the highlights of the finalized Missouri men's basketball schedule that was released Monday.

The Tigers will play a game in the Hearnes Center for the second consecutive year, as this year's will be Oct. 29 against William Jewell in the team's exhibition opener. The game will be played at Hearnes Center due to the installation of a new video board at Mizzou Arena.

Tickets for the game will be free, as fans will have access to open, general admission seating in Sections C and D. Seating in Sections A and B will be reserved for 2014-15 season ticket holders.

Anderson, the Tigers' new head coach, played four seasons inside Hearnes Center. That included his senior campaign when the Tigers went 12-1 and he was named the 1977 Big Eight Player of the Year. During his final three seasons, Anderson and the Tigers went 37-2 at Hearnes.

The date for the William Jewell game was one of two finalized Monday, as the Tigers' exhibition game against Missouri-St. Louis was set for Nov. 8.

The Tigers' 2014-15 television schedule was also finalized, and Missouri will have a school-record 10 non-conference games on national television, and 28 total.

In addition, five games, including both exhibition contests, will appear on SEC Network +. Those games - which include the regular-season opener against UMKC (Nov. 14) and home games against Oral Roberts (Nov. 19) and Southeast Missouri State (Dec. 2) - are only available on WatchESPN.

The final five Southeastern Conference games that previously had no game times were also announced Monday. For the complete schedule, please see page C2.
