COLUMBIA, Mo. - Jefferson City went 1-2 at the Columbia Tournament, opening with a 2-7 loss to Lee's Summit West.
Winning in singles for the Lady Jays was Eden Hoogveld (8-4). Kelly Raithel (9-8), Paige Smith (8-5), Kirsten Schmidt (8-3), Athira Nambiar (8-6), and Erica Dunn (8-1) fell in singles. Winning in doubles were Smith and Hoogveld (9-8). Raithel and Schmidt (8-4) and Nambiar & Dunn (8-2) lost in doubles.
The Lady Jays then defeated the Rock Bridge Gold team 9-0.

The Lady Jays also dropped a 3-6 decision to Marquette.

The Lady Jays (14-4) return to action Monday against Helias at Washington Park.
