Jefferson City middle-school meet results

The Thomas Jefferson boys took first and the girls were second in a middle-school meet held Thursday at Cole County Park.

The boys won the race with an impressive total of 19 points. Izaak Sochinski took first with a time of 8:34:24, while Thomas Nield was second (8:39:37) and Landon Dunlap was third (8:46). Also for the Patriots, Brady Sloan was sixth (9:12) and Trent Kempker was seventh (9:15).

The Lewis and Clark boys took fifth out of the six teams. The top five finishers for the Trailblazers were Ben Krause (fourth, 8:56), Brennan Jeffries (17th, 9:51), Patrick Malone (41st, 10:43), Garrett Butel (43rd, 10:45) and Bryan Elseman (46th, 11:00).

The Thomas Jefferson girls were led by Lauren Tuck, who won in 10:06. Amy Cook was seventh (10:49), Mya Drayton was 10th (10:58), Mira Ghandi was 19th (11:31) and Brittni Spencer was 24th (11:58).

The Lewis and Clark girls finished third out of the five teams. Leading the Lady Blazers were Kaitlyn Schwandtner (third, 10:24), Emma Brondel (fourth, 10:41), Elizabeth Dunn (12th, 11:07), Sasha Campbell (17th, 11:26) and Grace Griffin (25th, 11:59).
