A female Lewis and Clark Middle School student is facing discipline after an assault on school property Wednesday morning.
Jefferson City Public School District Officials said the eighth-grade student went to the Prenger Detention Center after a fight with another student. What started the fight was not released.
The student in question received a 10-day suspension from school and could face additional punishment pending a hearing with school officials.
