Holts Summit woman chokes, crashes car

A Holts Summit woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 6:10 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 54, east of Summit Drive in Callaway County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Subaru Tribeca, driven westbound by Marsha K. Wilson, 46, traveled off the right side of the road as the driver choked on a beverage. The vehicle then went down an embankment and struck several trees.

Wilson was taken to St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

She was wearing a seat belt.

• A Brumley pedestrian was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 10:32 p.m. Thursday on Route C at Missouri 17 in Miller County.

The patrol reported a 1995 Ford Aerostar, driven southbound by Tyler N. Doty, 21, Columbia, struck James P. Treadway, 55, as he walked in the southbound lane of the road.

Treadway was taken to Lake Regional Hospital.
