SEDALIA - Helias shot a 351 and bested 14 girls golf teams at the Smith Cotton Tournament. The Lady Crusaders tied for first with Rock Bridge, but the tiebreaking fifth scorer went Helias' way.
Jenna Kosmatka finished in fifth overall with an 81, Lauren Plunkett finished sixth by carding an 83, and Luci Francka finished 15th with a 93 to also medal.
Alex Nelson shot a 94, and Ashten Lorts shot a 95 to break the stalemate.
Overall medalist Nicole McKee of Moberly shot a 74.
Helias plays Wednesday night against Rolla at Oak Hills.
