COLUMBIA - The Jefferson City Lady Jays dropped an 8-1 decision Thursday to the Rock Bridge Bruins.
Erica Dunn was the lone winner for Jefferson City. She won her singles match 2-6, 6-0 (10-6 tiebreaker).
Falling in singles were Kelly Raithel (1-6, 4-6), Paige Smith (6-7, 2-6) Eden Hoogveld (2-6, 6-2, 6-10 tiebreaker), Kirsten Schmidt (0-6, 0-6), and Athira Nambiar (0-6, 2-6). Doubles results included Smith and Hoogveld (6-8), Raithel and Schmidt (2-8), and Nambiar and Maddi Brown (1-8).
The Lady Jays (12-2) return to action Thursday at Camdenton. Rock Bridge is now 10-0.
