The Jefferson City Jays posted a 20-14 win in freshman action against Hickman in overtime Thursday at Adkins Stadium.
The Jays' Carson Berendzen had a fumble return for a touchdown, while they got scoring runs of 15 yards from Kain Carpenter and 12 yards from Elijah Jackson.
Jefferson City's other points came on a safety following a bad snap on a punt by Hickman.
Tyler Bise and Mason York had interceptions for the Jays (1-1), while Van Johnson had a sack.
Jefferson City will host DeSmet on Monday.
