Calvary volleyball beats North Callaway

The Calvary Lutheran Lady Lions topped North Callaway in two games - 25-14, 25-15 - Tuesday.

Kara Bernskoetter led the way for Calvary (2-1) with four aces, four digs and nine service points. Emily Layson had five aces and six kills.

Jenna Fischer notched three kills, Jessica Stark and Becca Thompson had seven and five assists, respectively. Brooke Rollins tallied three digs, and senior Krista Stanford added five service points.

The junior varsity team also had success against North Callaway, winning 25-11 and 25-14 to bring its record to 3-0.

The Lady Lions play Thursday at home against Chamois. Junior varsity play begins at 6 p.m. and the varsity team takes the court afterward.
