TUSCUMBIA - The St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets cruised to a 16-0 win Monday against Tuscumbia.
Regan Wilde threw a one-hit shutout and was 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI.
Taylor Helton went 3-of-4 at the plate with three RBI and two runs scored. Emma Kemna, Shanley Kliethermes, Sara Struemoh and Mackenzie Struemph all contributed two hits and two RBI. Mackenzie Struemph was 2-of-3 with an RBI. Courtney Scheulen added a triple and an RBI.
The Lady Hornets (2-2) will host Russellville tonight.
Linn 2, South Callaway 1
MOKANE - Linn began its conference season with a 2-1 win Monday against South Callaway.
Paige Rost allowed one unearned run on five hits and four walks to get the win. She struck out two.
Hayley Dorton was 3-of-3 with a double and an RBI. Veda Phillips and Courtney Tynes also added hits for Linn.
Linn (5-2) hosts California today.
