MARSHFIELD, Mo. - The Jefferson City Lady Jays junior varsity volleyball team earned a second-place finish Saturday at the Marshfield Junior Varsity Tournament.
Jefferson City went 3-2 on the day with wins against Ava (25-12, 25-10), Marshfield (24-26, 25-16, 25-22) and Reeds Springs (forfeit).
The Lady Jays lost two games to Rogersville (25-17, 25-22) and (23-25, 25-12, 25-16).
Amber Runkle, Bailey Diehl and Tatum Gaines had 13 kills each, while Janice Steacy had 29 assists. Olivia Hart chipped in with five aces.
Jefferson City (5-5) will play at Fatima on Monday.
