Helias softball splits with Webb City

The Helias Lady Crusaders split a pair of softball games with Webb City.

Helias dropped a 16-8 decision Friday, before bouncing back for an 11-5 win Saturday.

Lauren Morrow was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI to lead Helias in the opener. Kayli Lecuru and Allison Morrow were both 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Julie Harris was 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Lindsey Steinbeck earned the win in the circle Saturday, allowing nine hits and striking out two in seven innings.

Haley Kempker was 2-for-3 with a double and drove in three runs to lead Helias at the plate in Game 2. Harris had three hits, while Jordyn Nappier added two to help pace the Lady Crusaders.

Helias will host Blair Oaks on Tuesday.
