Jays JV football beats Hickman

The Jefferson City junior varsity football team drubbed Hickman on Thursday, 42-0.

Deion Driver began the scoring with a five-yard touchdown run. J.T. Bohlken followed it up with a 55-yard touchdown run. Bohlken then ran for another touchdown, this time from two yards out.

Allan Roettgen caught a 51-yard pass from Bohlken for a touchdown before Driver tacked on another six-yard run for a score. Carson Ridgeway had a one-yard touchdown run.

Dennis Barnes had an interception, and Dave Rogers blocked a punt that was returned for a touchdown by Julian Stokes, who blocked a punt of his own. Joseph Bustamante had three sacks for Jefferson City.

Tate Borgmeyer hit three extra points for the Jays.

Jefferson City's junior varsity team plays next on Sept. 15 at home against DeSmet.
