Two women are injured in pair of Mid-Missouri accidents

Rachel R. Shadrick, 30, Brumley, sustained minor injuries Saturday night in a one-vehicle wreck in Miller County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said Shadrick was eastbound on Missouri 42, about .4 miles east of Missouri 134. At t 10:30 p.m., she failed to negotiate a curve at an excessive rate of speed. Her vehicle slid off the right edge of the road and struck a ditch.

Shadrick, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance by Lake Regional Hospital.

Jamie S. Payne, 23, Fulton, had minor injuries in a Callaway County wreck on Saturday.

The patrol said the wreck occurred about 8:40 p.m. on County Road 435, about .3 miles north of Middle River. She was driving south and failed to negotiate a curve.

Her vehicle went off the left side of the road, down an embankment and struck a tree.

Payne, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Callaway Community Hospital.
