WESTPHALIA, Mo. - The Fatima Comets and South Callaway Lady Bulldogs earned team honors Saturday at the Fatima Cross Country Invitational.
Fatima, led by individual winner Hunter Hennier, finished with 36 points to top the eight-team field. The Comets had three other runners finish in the top six - Cody Huhn (third), Alex Krieg (fourth) and Austin Muenks (sixth).
Linn, led by Noah Voss' seventh-place finish, was second with 57. Adam Burkett of California finished second as the Pintos took fourth as a team with 95 points.
On the girls side, South Callaway finished with 72 points to win a tight race for team honors. California was second with 75, while Fatima was third with 76 and Eldon was fourth with 78.
South Callaway's top finisher was Caitlyn Chapman, who was 14th. But the Lady Bulldogs had a total of five finishers in the top 29 individuals to take the title.
Fatima teammates Brianna Haller and Riley Caminiti finished 1-2, respectively. Faith Parrent of Eldon was third, while Harley Nale of Linn finished fourth. Hannah Kloeppel of Fatima rounded out the top five individuals.
