A Jefferson City man is charged with attempted sexual abuse and sexual misconduct for an incident that occurred earlier this month.
Steven Farr, 40, 1126 Linden Court, is believed to have inappropriately touched a female at an apartment in the 1100 block of Linden Court on Oct. 10.
The victim told authorities Farr is legally blind and he believed she was unconscious after she took her prescribed medication.
The victim said the touching occurred while she was lying on a couch and witnesses who were in the residence at the time intervened when the non consensual touching occurred. The witnesses forcefully removed Farr from the apartment after he refused to leave when asked.
Farr was questioned by authorities and admitted to being in the victim's apartment, unaware the witnesses were there.
Authorities said Farr has prior arrests for violent crimes and a prior conviction for narcotics possession.
