JC man arrested after shooting incident

A Jefferson City man is facing several charges after shooting at a car full of people, Wednesday afternoon.

Police reports say Daniel Lowe, 23, is facing charges of first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

The incident began around 2:20 p.m. over the sale of a cell phone.

Lowe fired several shots at a car with several people inside, including a three-year old child, in the 600 block of Linn Street, near Lowe's residence.

After the shooting, Lowe left the area in a white sedan, but he was located a short time later and taken into custody in the 600 block of East McCarty Street.

Following Lowe's arrest, officers served a search warrant at his residence and found several firearms, including the one believed to have been used in this shooting.

Officers also recovered over 20 grams of cocaine, marijuana, scales and packaging material.
