Two Lake area men hurt in accidents

A Camdenton man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 11:40 a.m. Monday on Missouri 5, south of Missouri 7 in Camden County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, a 2002 Ford Escort, driven northbound by Dorthea J. Wiemers, 53, Camdenton, was stopped in traffic and a 1997 Chevrolet 1500, driven northbound by Charles H. Wanamaker, 72, Gravois Mills, struck the Wiemers' vehicle in the rear.

A passenger in the Wiemers' vehicle, Matthew J. Bilke 24, Camdenton, was taken to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Everyone was wearing seat belts.

• A Lake Ozark man was injured in a one-car accident at 6:55 p.m. Monday on Horseshoe Bend Parkway, west of Bagnell Dam Drive in Miller County.

The patrol reported a 2007 Nissan Murano, driven westbound by Robert J. Fulsom, 37, crossed the center line and went off the road. The vehicle became airborne, struck a rock embankment and overturned.

Fulsom was taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

He was wearing a seat belt.
