Blair Oaks cruises past Dixon in volleyball

WARDSVILLE, Mo. - The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons ended the regular season on a high note Thursday, defeating Dixon 25-13, 25-16.

Allison Maxwell had five kills and five blocks, while Ryan Dudenhoeffer finished with five kills and four blocks to lead the Lady Falcons.

Paige Rackers tallied four kills, while Lizzie Rosslan and Sadie Turner both chipped in with eight assists. Alexa Stegemann had four aces and seven digs, while Shelbi Koelling finished with seven digs.

Blair Oaks (22-7-3) earned the No. 3 seed in the Class 3 District 12 tournament and will take on sixth-seeded School of the Osage (5-17-3) in a first-round game at 7 p.m. Monday at Helias.

The winner of that game will take on No. 3 California (17-11-4) at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in a semifinal game.

In the JV game, Blair Oaks cruised to a 25-8, 25-6 win.

Jade Peters had eight assists and tallied nine aces, while Lanie Berhorst finished with nine aces to pace the Lady Falcons.

Kellie Fredendall had five kills and and Lizzy Holstein chipped in with four kills for Blair Oaks (20-1).
