Our compliments to Jim Dyke and the News Tribune for the "Stella Maris" ("The Star of the Sea") feature in the Oct. 12 Views section. It paid tribute to the late Sabra Eagan, the world-class artist and wonderful local Jefferson City woman who designed the sculpture.
The feature was by an artist, about an artist, and it was itself a work of art in content, prose and visual presentation. The visual symmetry with which the article was laid out was striking and lovely, the content both touching and informative.
We look forward more than ever to seeing Sabra's "Stella Maris" unveiled at the new St. Mary's.
