Work to place a pedestrian bridge over Business 50-West in Apache Flats will force the road to be closed from time-to-time Thursday morning, the Cole County Public Works department announced today.
The bridge is being placed in the 5700 block of Business 50-West, at the South Binder Lake Road intersection.
A temporary detour to Rainbow Drive will be in place for the duration of the closure, and message boards will be used to help inform and direct motorists.
Installing the bridge is part of the ongoing contract to improve the road through the Apache Flats business district.
