Girls Volleyball: Blair Oaks wins Versailles tourney

VERSAILLES, Mo. - With five wins and a tie, the Blair Oaks Lady Falcons finished first in the Versailles Tournament.

Blair Oaks began pool play with a 25-7, 25-6 win against Smithton. The Lady Falcons then defeated Marshall in two sets, 28-26 and 27-25. Blair Oaks split with Eldon, losing the first set 26-24 and winning the second 25-12.

In pool play, Paige Rackers led with 14 kills. Allison Maxwell had 13, and Ryan Dudenhoeffer had 12. Sadie Turner and Alexa Stegemann had five aces.

Turner led Blair Oaks in assists with 34, and Lizzie Rosslan had 16. Shelbi Koelling had 22 digs, and Stegemann had 15. Maxwell and Dudenhoeffer led with nine and seven blocks, respectively.

Blair Oaks played School of the Osage in quarterfinals, winning 25-13, 25-11. Turner led with seven assists, Maxwell led with nine kills, and Stegemann led with 13 aces.

In semis, the Lady Falcons topped California in three sets. Blair Oaks won the first set 25-19, lost the second 25-15 and won the third 25-21.

Maxwell led with seven kills, and Dudenhoeffer and Taylor Stockman had five apiece. Turner had four aces and 11 assists. Rackers had 13 digs, and Stegemann had 12.

In the championship, Blair Oaks defeated Stover in straight sets, 26-24 and 25-8. Stegemann and Dudenhoeffer had seven kills each, and Maxwell had six. Rebecca Schroeder had nine digs, and Rosslan led with 10 assists.

Blair Oaks (20-7-5) plays hosts Versailles on Tuesday and Dixon on Thursday in the Lady Falcons' final regular season matches of the year.
