A Stover man died from injuries he received in a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon in Cole County.
Albert S. Miesner, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Route C just east of Route AA. Four others were hospitalized.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports Miesner was driving a car eastbound at 4:40 p.m. when a westbound pickup truck crossed the center line and struck his car head-on.
Three passengers in Miesner's car, all from Stover, received serious injuries. Cherre B. Miesner, 41, was taken to University Hospital in Columbia, while Hope K. Miesner, 7, and Henleigh E. Miesner, 3, were transported to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
The driver of the pickup, Salvatore V. Coombs, 43, Russellville, also was seriously injured and taken to University Hospital.
The patrol reports Albert Meisner was not wearing a seatbelt; the other four were wearing seatbelts.
