Two injured in pair of area wrecks

A Fulton man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 1:01 a.m. Tuesday on Route NN south of Bus. U.S. 54 in Callaway County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 KIA Sportage, driven northbound by Darryl J. Meyer, 49, traveled off the right side of the road, overcorrected, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole.

Meyer was taken to University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital.

He was not wearing a seat belt.

• A Versailles woman was injured in a one-car accident at 8:18 a.m. Monday on Route W south of Marvin Cutoff in Morgan County.

The patrol reported a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven southbound by Kyleigh S. Smith, 21, ran off the right side of the road and struck a road sign and embankment.

Smith was taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

She was wearing a seat belt.
