BizBeat: Quality Inn replaces Jefferson City's Holiday Inn

Other than the signs, Jefferson City's Quality Inn Suites will be much like the Holiday Inn Express that it recently replaced.

Randal Dent bought the property from a Florida bank after it went into bankrupcy two years ago. The transition was seamless; the business changed hands and signs on Sept. 18, but never closed. It will operate with the same staff, amenities and rates, Dent said.

Dent took over Days Inn in 2010 after buying the property, which was also in bankrupcy. Both were owned by the same owner before going into bankrupcy.

Although guests won't notice many differences initially, the hotel will see "a lot of improvements" over the next year, he said.
