COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Jefferson City Jays claimed a 3-0 win Tuesday night against the Battle Spartans.
Seth Stegeman, Erich Sporleder and Colton Acock all scored goals for Jefferson City. Spencer Bone, Skylar Richardson and Sporleder added assists for the Jays, who improved to 9-3 on the season.
Jefferson City will play Northwest: Cedar Hill in the opening round of the Gateway Soccer Classic at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. That game will be played at Northwest: Cedar Hill.
The Jefferson City JV team also rolled to a 4-0 win.
Daunte Tillman had two goals, while Ayden Propst and Eric Ortiz each had one.
Ortiz, Hunter Dahl, Chad Hamler and Dalton Green all had assists for the Jays (4-1-1).
